Aladdin’s Arabian Nights Tea Party
Begin your journey to Agrabah at our Aladdin’s Arabian Nights Tea Party, starting at 1:00 PM at the beautiful Akron Civic Theatre, just before Aladdin the Ballet. Enjoy delightful small bites and refreshments in a festive, family-friendly setting inspired by the magic of Arabian Nights, plus a special appearance by characters from the cast—perfect for young theatergoers.

50th Anniversary Celebration!
This one-night-only (March 14th at 7pm) event brings together returning BXO alumni, guest artists Daniel Ulbricht and Indiana Woodward, principal dancers with New York City Ballet, and renowned choreographers who helped shape our history—alongside a performance of Aladdin. The evening will also feature a special performance by Ballet Excel Ohio alumni Dustin True and Ashley Klinger. It’s a rare opportunity to celebrate 50 years of dance, impact, and the extraordinary success our dancers have achieved.

50th Anniversary
Ballet Excel Ohio is proudly celebrating 50 years of transforming lives through the power of dance. Since 1975, this vibrant nonprofit youth ballet company has trained thousands of young artists, brought dance education into schools across Northeast Ohio through its Reach Out And Dance® program, and made the arts accessible to all through scholarships and free ticket initiatives. As the longest-running youth ballet production at the historic Akron Civic Theatre, Ballet Excel Ohio continues to honor its legacy while stepping boldly into the future. 2023 Arts Alive Award
Ballet Excel Ohio and Nan Klinger Excellent in Dance Artistic Director Mia Klinger has been recognized with Summit Artspace’s IDEA Leader Award for 2023. The IDEA Leader Award is given to an individual or group who has amplified the voices and vision of artists in the community or has strengthened inclusion, diversity, equity and access for and within the arts. Who give selflessly to the cause of advancing arts and culture in the community.
Ballet Excel Ohio is one of the first youth ballets in the country. Ballet Excel Ohio is a nationally acclaimed pre-professional dance not-for-profit company that performs original works under the artistic direction of Mia Klinger.
