Young Dancer Discovery Day
Children ages 3–8 are invited to experience the magic of dance through age-appropriate classes, performances by Ballet Excel Ohio dancers, and interactive activities.
Enrollment is limited and advance registration is required.
This free special experience is designed for children interested in exploring dance training at Ballet Excel Ohio.

Step into the spotlight and try your luck at A Night in Old Vegas on September 25, 2026, at the beautiful Portage Country Club. Join Ballet Excel Ohio for an unforgettable evening where the glitz of Old Vegas meets an exciting night of celebration, community, and inspiration.
Guests will roll the dice on an evening featuring a silent and live auction, dazzling entertainment, and meaningful moments honoring the legacy of our organization. We are also proud to present the prestigious Prima Award to Akron Civic Theatre for their enduring partnership and support through the years.
From the first deal to the final curtain call, this once-a-year gala promises vintage Vegas glamour, Rat-Pack era classics by performers Rick and Sharona, unforgettable memories, and a winning night in support of our mission.

Under the leadership of new ROAD® Artistic Director, Erin Miller, ROAD® danced its way through it 25th anniversary season reaching over 1,000 second grade students in eight Summit County schools.

2023 Arts Alive Award
Ballet Excel Ohio and Nan Klinger Excellent in Dance Artistic Director Mia Klinger has been recognized with Summit Artspace’s IDEA Leader Award for 2023. The IDEA Leader Award is given to an individual or group who has amplified the voices and vision of artists in the community or has strengthened inclusion, diversity, equity and access for and within the arts. Who give selflessly to the cause of advancing arts and culture in the community.
Ballet Excel Ohio is one of the first youth ballets in the country. Ballet Excel Ohio is a nationally acclaimed pre-professional dance not-for-profit company that performs original works under the artistic direction of Mia Klinger.
